STEP #1: Create a profile. 

This is similar to establishing a profile or user name on other websites you use. We'll ask for your name, and email address and a few other details.

STEP #2: Complete an application

The Homeownership Stabilization Initiative application is a seven-step process. The first four steps will register you in our system and connect you with a housing agency, while the remaining three steps contain critical information for us to be able to help you. Here you'll be asked for information about yourself, your mortgage lender and your property. This information will help your local housing agency to quickly understand your situation and determine the best plan for you.

STEP #3: Generate required documentation

These tools and checklists make it easy to gather up additional details your intake advisor will need. The Financial Worksheet is very important to the MPA program application process and should be as complete and accurate as possible. We've also provided a Hardship Affidavit Writing tool, which will help you generate this necessary personal document.

We realize this information we're asking for is very personal and that you may be reluctant to share it. It's important to know that you're not alone - with the recent economic downturn, many people have struggled to balance income with expenses. Please complete the application and worksheet as honestly as possible. The more detail you share, the more effective your housing agency can help you.
